BACKGROUND:
Muskegon County's oldest restaurant.
Hoby Thrasher is referred to as the "Most Prolific Restaurant Entrepreneur in West Michigan," by the Muskegon Chronicle. He is a life-long resident of the north side of Muskegon County. Thrasher's Bear Lake Tavern, established in 1929, is his fourteenth owned restaurant since 1975. In 2004, he was awarded Muskegon County's "Entrepreneur of the Year."
